YOU WILL NEED COREL PAINTSHOP PRO X or earlier versions
My carpet texture unzip and add to your psp texture folder.

MATERIALS

LETS BEGIN....

Making The Buckle



open a new image 450 x 400 set foreground & background to #ffffff
preset shape and choose ellipse draw out your ellipse like below

now go to selection tool rounded rectangle drag out your selction like below

convert your layer to raster hit delete on your keyboard
selections select none with your magic wand click anywhere on your image
selections / invert you should have marching ants around your image now go to effects plugins superblade pro and in your environments & texture folder locate glassygold.q5q. with these settings.

selections select none now click on preset rounded rectangle draw out a thin rectangle to make the bar for your buckle convert
layer to raster & with magic wand click anywhere on your image
selections invert to have your rounded rectangle selected & again repeat the same settings as before using superblade pro only this time change your shape to this.

go to selections select none your image now

now duplicate your bar layer & on your history
pallet click on your duplicate layer arrange move down now with your pick tool position your bar so your image now looks like this.

now you can add a design to your buckle if you so wish i have added a ding that i made & tubed.

now you can save this as a tube. i have also made a metal loop using the same procees as for my buckle
only i changed my blade pro shape to

just draw out a rounded rectangle remembering to change
it to raster layer and add the same SBP settings

as for my rivet i used the circle shape selected it and modified the
contract to 10 and added the same SBP settings.

Making A Belt Part 1


Open a New Image 650 x 400.
Change your foreground & background to #b25265 or a colour of your choice.
Go to shapes rectangle draw out a rectangle like below.

Go to effects texture and choose my wool texture with these settings.

Now duplicate this layer.

Go to Image mirror.
Change the opacity on your copy layer to 50.
Now go to selection tool and choose hexagon,
draw out your hexagon like below & keep selected.

Now using your mouse move your hexagon like in screen shot below.

Add A drop shadow.

Go to selections select none.


Now to add our Stitching


Highlight your copy of raster 1 layer and change your
background to a colour you wish to use for your stitching mine is #aa9261.
Go to your text tool Arial size 100 line style dashed,
now type out enough dashes to fill your length of belt,
lower the opacity of your stitch layer to around 58.
Go to layers layer/duplicate then to Image flip and position your stitching along the bottom of your belt.
Your Image now.

Now we want to add stitching to the edge of the hexagon shape.
Using your selection tool select a small piece of your stitch go to edit / copy go to selections / select none.
click on your image and paste as new layer. Click on your pick tool,
position your stitch along the top side of hexagon edge and with the eraser tool
erase any parts not needed.

Change the opacity of this layer to 58, go to layers / duplicate and position your stitch to the bottom edge of your hexagon shape.
Your Image should now look like mine.

Add a drop shadow to each of your stitch layers.
Now highlight your top line of stitched layer erase this stitch and also the same stitch on your copy layer.

Save your Image as psp image.

FINISH TOUCHES TO OUR BELT


Open your psp belt Image.
Now go to layers merge / merge visible,
Go to layers new raster layer.
Now go to your tube & locate your buckle Image

Size it so it is just slightly over the edges of your belt
and with the eraser tool we will erase part of the bar like below.

Add new raster layer and open your rivet tube size it to fit your belt add a drop shadow
and erase part of the bar so as the bar appears to be going through like below.

Add new raster layer, now open your loop tube size and place it like in screenshot.

Now add new layer and place a new rivet the same size as your last one and with your move tool position it evenly,
if you wish to add more just duplicate this layer and position remember to add a drop shadow to each.

Now just merge layers visible and save as picture tube
