YOU WILL NEED COREL PAINTSHOP PRO X or earlier versions
LETS BEGIN....

Making A bow
open new image 300 x 200
you can set your colour pallet to what ever colour or pattern you wish
i am using one of my plaid pattern tiles for my background
and for my foreground i have chosen a dark shade from my plaid pattern
now click on preset shapes & draw out a rectangle like below

rename this ribbon
now using your mesh warp tool
make a pinch on either side of your image like below by moving the nodes

now save as psp file and close for now
open new image 100 x 100
now click on preset shapes / rounded rectangle
and draw out a small rectangle like below

now using your mesh warp tool again we are going to make the knot for our bow
like in screen shots below try to get it to a similair shape as mine.

rename your layer knot save & close for now
now open a new image 400 x 400
open your pinched ribbon image
copy and paste this to your new image as new layer
now go to image / free rotate with these settings

and click on your pick tool and move your ribbon so it is slightly slanted
again rename this layer ribbon
now go to preset shapes elipse and draw out an elipse like below

convert to raster
rename this layer fold
now highlight your fold layer on your layer pallet click on it arrange /move down
now hide this from view for now by clicking on the little eye on your history pallet fold layer
now highlight your ribbon layer
now open up your knot image copy and paste as new layer to your new image
now position it with your move tool directly on the pinched part of your ribbon image
you may need to use your pick tool to help position and size it neatly like below

now highlight & unblock your fold layer
now click on your pick tool and position your fold like below again the pick tool will help size & position it neatly

now highlight your ribbon layer go to selections choose selection type rectangle
draw out your selection like below

go to edit copy
go to selections / select none
click on your image paste as new layer
we now have our second tail of our ribbon
rename this layer ribbon 2
with it highlighted on your layer pallet click on your ribbon 2 / arrange move down
now click on your pick tool and position ribbon 2 like below

now go to layers/ merge visible
image free rotate with same settings as before
now to give the fold a little more detail click on your mesh warp tool and move nodes to position like below

just play around until you get the look you want.
now to add some detailed shadow & creases click on lighten/darken brush

with these settings (have swap mouse buttons checked as you will find clicking on right of your mouse gives lighter effect and left darker)

so by clicking on the left mouse give a small crease detail at either side of your knot like below

do the same with the knot adding light & dark creases
play around with light and dark as the choice is your's on how you want it to look
