YOU WILL NEED
COREL PAINTSHOP PRO X or earlier versions
EYECANDY 4000
LETS BEGIN
Threaded sewing needle
Making the needle
open new image 500 x 200
now click on preset shapes ellipse
draw out a thin long elipse like below
convert to raster layer
now with your elipse tool again draw out a smaller slightly wider elipse like below
and position it neatly at the end of your needle as this will be the eye part
convert layer to raster
your image now
now click on the selection tool selection type elipse
and draw out a small selection on the eye part of your needle like below
click on delete
now highlight your raster2 layer and click on delete
go to selections select none
now we have our eye for our thread to go through.
now just were your eye is erase a little off the end of the needle head to make it more rounded
go to layers merge visible your image should now look like this
go to effects plugin using eye candy 4000 / chrome use these settings
this is my finished result
you can export this as picture tube to reuse again
now to add our thread to the needle eye
add new raster layer
now psp x is handy as it already comes with thread installed in your picture tubes
but if you have earlier versions this can be done with just the draw tool but for now
i will use my thread tube (you can look up corels website for some free tubes)
find your thread tube scale it to around 50 and draw out how you would like your thread to look
here is mine
now zoom in on your needle as we ar going to erase part of
the thread so it looks like it is through the eye of the needle
with your thread tube layer highlighted
with the erase tool erase your thread like i have in screen shot
you can change the colour of your thread click on adjust/ hue & saturation / colorize
