
YOU WILL NEED
COREL PAINTSHOP PRO X or other versions
EYECANDY 4000
LETS BEGIN....
A SIMPLE BUTTON
Open new image 350 x 350 resolution 300 transparent.
Choose a colour you would like to use for foreground and background mine is set at #ff8080,
now go to Preset Shapes Ellipse,
draw out your Ellipse like below.
Convert your layer to raster,
Effects / 3D Effects / Inner Bevel with these settings, (here are some examples of settings.)
You can play around with the Inner and Outer Bevels to get the button style you want.
Once you have the style you want lets put our button holes in.
With your button image open rename your layer button.
Add new raster layer name this layer hole 1,
change your background colour to #ffffff foreground null.
Go to Preset Shapes and Ellipse,
draw out a small Ellipse Shape.
Go to layer duplicate and rename this layer hole 2,
on your hole 2 layer using the move tool move your ellipse so that it is positioned along side your other hole 1.
now block out your button layer,
highlight your hole 1 layer go to Layers, Merge, Merge Visible,and unblock your button layer.
Now on your merged layer you can use your Pick Tool to position your button holes.
Once you have your holes positioned using your Magic Wand click on your holes to select them,
then highlight your button layer go to Layers Merge Visible and hit delete.
keep selected then go to effects 3D effects drop shadow.
with these settings repeat the drop shadow this time reversing your vertical & horizontal settings.
Finished buttons save as a picture tube to use again.
MAKE A GL0SSY BUTTON
FOR THIS PART YOU WILL NEED EYE CANDY 4000
Open new image 350 x 350 resolution 300 transparent.
Now we will use a shape for this button tutorial you
can download my Heart Preset Shape here if you wish.
Add this to your psp preset shapes folder.
Colour pallet #e578f0,
Now draw out your Preset Heart Shape.
Now like before in the simple button tut make
your button holes only this time when you merge
2 Ellipse button hole shapes duplicate the layer so you have 4 button holes.
Like below.
Once you have your 4 button
holes deleted go to selections select none,
now go to effects plugin
Eyecandy 4000 Glass with these settings.
Your heart button now.
TIP: WHEN MAKING YOUR HOLE SELECTIONS WHY NOT
ADD THESE SELECTIONS TO DISK THIS WAY YOU CAN USE THEM AGAIN.
MAKING PATTERN BUTTONS.
To make our pattern buttons all you really need to do is use a pattern instead
of colour this is a great way to have buttons compliment your papers ect..
for scrapkits.
you can also use brushes to add design to your buttons.
QUICK & EASY METAL BUTTON
Open new image,you can use whatever shape you like but for this tutorial i will use image below.
Rename this layer base. now with your magic wand select your shape.
Now go to plugins Eyecandy 4000 with these settings,
Go to selections select none,
now add new raster layer name this layer design,now we will add another shape
(or you can use any design or lettering you wish).
Now duplicate this layer and with your move tool position your shapes.
continue to duplicate each layer until you have your shapes positioned around
like below (choice is your's as to how many and were you wish to place each design)
Now go to your layer pallet and block out the base layer of your button so as you have only your
design layers active. Make sure to have your layer namend design highlighted, go to layers merge visible.
Now go to effects and add the same eye candy 4000 settings as before.
Now back to your base layer and unblock it.
We want to now add our button hole so add new raster layer and name this button hole.
Using our preset shape ellipse draw out an ellipse in center of your image.
Now add same eye candy settings as before,
and with your magic wand click in the center of your
ellipse and hit delete,
keep selected highlight your base layer & again hit delete.
Your image now.
Your button hole layer highlighted add new raster layer
name this layer bar and go to presets shape
this time using rounded rectangle draw out
a small bar add the same eye candy settings as before.
Now on your layer pallet right click on your bar layer arrange send to bottom.
I you want 2 bars then just duplicate your first bar layer
and with your pick tool position your bars in a criss cross.
Now before you merge all layers visible you can change the colours on each layer using
Hue and Saturation colourize. Or maybe add Noise or Texture to your base.
