QUICK PAPERS
I'm going to show you quick and easy ways to make papers for your scrapbooking.
We will be making selections so lets begin.
First open a new image 400 x 400
Floodfill with colour mine is #b0b583
go to effects / artistic effects / halftone
we are going to make a striped pattern so choose these settings.
Now click on your magic wand and click on the thick strips of your image so they are all selected.
Go to selections/load save selection/save selection to disk.
Name your new selection click save.
Now close your image and open new image same size and floodfill with colour.
Use halftone effect again only with these settings.
click on magic wand because these are dots we want to click on the background
of your image not on an actual dot
this way we will have all the image selected
go to selections invert
you will notice all your dots are selected and none of the background like below.
Again go to selections/load save selection/save selection to disk
name your new selection click save
here are a few more examples of halftone settings to use and save as selections.
Now you maybe happy just to use the halftone effect to get these patterns
by just changing the colours,
the size and angles. The reason we have made selections
from them is to simply be able to have differnt colours implemented
in your designs here is examples how.
Open new image 400 x 400

go to layers add new raster layer
go to selections/load save selection/load selection from disk
locate your dot selection click on load
now all you have to do is floodfill your dots with differnt colours here is mine.

Quick textured paper
The texture tool is a great way to have texturized looking paper here is one example to use.
open new image 400 x 400
floodfill with any colour you wish i'm using #436961
now go to effects texture effects / texture
we will use the long grain deep texture with these settings.
now go to layers/duplicate
go to image free rotate
now lower the opacity on your duplicate layer to 40
layers/ merge / merge all flatten.
Add design to your paper
To add some design to your papers lets first learn how to make custom brushes.
to make this easy i will just use one of my flower tubes.
open new image 250 x 250
find a nice flower tube like mine psp x already has some nice tubes installed.
with these settings

now go to file / export / custom brush
this box will appear and just name your brush click ok
now open your paper image
go to layers new raster layer
click on your brush tool and locate your flower brush

and use these settings

now go to your foreground colour and pick a colour you wish your brush to be mine is #c0ffc0
now just click on random areas of your image were you wish your brush to be
go to layers merge / merge visible
here is mine

now to make different colours just go to adjust/ hue and saturation / colorize

you can make alot of great brushes to use from tubes, shapes, fonts, clipart & dings here are just some of my papers i made.
