YOU WILL NEED COREL PAINTSHOP PRO X or earlier versions EYECANDY 4000 LETS BEGIN

Make A safety pin

open new image 400x400
go to shapes elipse
draw out a long narrow elipse like below

objects/ align/ center in canvas
with your magic wand click on elipse to select it
selections / modify / contract by 5
go to your layer convert to raster
go to edit click on cut
with your magic wand click on your layer go to selections invert
your image should be all selected
now add bevel effect effects/3Deffects/inner bevel with these settings

now make a smaller elipse at the bottom of your image
like below

select your image with magic wand and repeat steps as above adding same inner bevel

your image should now look like this

now for the top part of our safety pin
i used an arrow shape as i wanted the rounded edge for the top of my pin

i then positioned it like below and selected the bottom half that was not needed convert layer to raster edit/cut
(you can how ever use your lasso tool to draw this out or pen tool i'm just to lazy to do this)

now with your move tool move the top part down as far as you like here is mine

now go to your layer pallet highlight raster 2

and with the eraser tool erase the top part thats not needed

your image should now look like this

now highlight your raster 4 layer
click on your text tool font wingdings & size it 72
now in your text box type the letter A
this is what you should have

now we only need one so erase the right one
and with your move tool position it on the top part of your pin
and with your magic wand click on it to select
your image now

keep selected
now go to layers/ merge visible
edit cut
now erase the little circle that is in the center
your image now

now go to effects plugin
eye candy 4000 bevel boss
with these settings

thats it we now have a safety pin.
you can save this as a tube so you can have it to reuse.

also using eyecandy 400 chrome you can add a chrome effect to your safety pin
